Tools are important.

Different tools are giving our hands multiple superpowers. Today we use so many of them that we almost didn’t notice that they exist. Think about tin can opener or driller for example.

But what about software testing. Do we need any tools for that? We write code and test also by hands. Right now every year code that is written by the developers or testers is more similar to natural language. The thing is that people make mistakes. Even writing on paper, you can easily need to fix this or that in your sentence. That’s why we should use tools, to speed up the process.

Now think about tools from the first paragraph. Every one of them is a very specialized tool for a particular task. You cannot use a driller to test code or software. That’s why tester needs a few of them to master during his IT career. That tools also need to be very specialized for that task. In future posts, I will describe some of them that may be useful.
